I live in a Hallmark movie

Hello and Happy Monday to everyone except the people that tell me I won't survive an East Coast winter because I'm from California <3

This week we went to a taco truck and I dumped some green salsa on it because I'm an ~hermana~ and I've never regretted anything more in my life. Mouth was on fire. Tears streaming down my face. Was not having a good time. To conclude, I'm not cut out for this life.

On Tuesday, we helped put on a missionary activity for the young women in the ward next to us!! We had different stations and games and it was super fun. I channeled my inner Sherrilynne so it was obviously a pretty good time.

We got to do service in Baltimore at the Maryland foodbank. I have absolutely loved working at different food banks throughout my mission and getting to help out in the community :)

On Sunday we had a super awesome mission devotional by our good family friends, the Clayton's!! (Pres. Weath Clayton was my bishop and stake president in Newport Beach). They talked about being more committed disciples and coming unto Christ. As we bring our fish and bread to him, He will help us to feed the thousands. In other words, as we come unto Him, He can turn our weaknesses into strengths and our efforts into so much more.

Later that night, we were just about done for the day but I had the feeling that there was one more person we needed to call. We called a girl named Ariana who had been taught almost a year ago. We ended up talking with her for a while and set a time to meet again this week!!

That's it for this week :)

Cutest downtown in the history of downtown's & THE LEAVES!!!

We love a good ~golden hour~ pic

You can decide which one's the actual view.

Pie and Jesus go together surprisingly well.

TBH (To be honest) I still feel like a youth.

We had a Stake Virtual Women's Conference and this
was what was going on in the zoom chat.

Ramen Furry, Baking, and Testimonies

Holaaaa!!

This week...

-Exchanges💯  So I went to an area up north called Pasadena for the day with another companionship..

-I got my flu shot 💪 and a $5 off coupon from Target.

-Drove over a super long bridge to get to Kent Island to drop cookies off at a cute older lady's house. Also, put me on Worst Cooks of America because I was halving the recipe and accidentally put in 1/2 a stick of butter instead of 1/2 cup sooo yeah. It's the thought that counts, right??

-P day activity on Kent Island at the Chesapeake Environmental Center. So that meant we got to drive the bridge again!! It's over 4 miles long!! Also it was pouring and by some miracle our little Corolla, Linda, pulled thru and we didn't get stuck on the dirt road. Also we crushed everyone in a card game called, Ramen Fury 😤😤

-Had a heated debate with the district about eggnog. I couldn't participate because I've never tried it, because I'm scared.  So tune in next week to see if I overcome my fears and try eggnog!

-Branch devotional testimony meeting on Sunday!! It was so small but a super cool experience because the members are so amazing and so close to each other. There's a ton of work to do here but it's the best and I love it!!

Ciao, Hermana Dangl

So this guy. Rob. We heard a thud and saw him hanging on our window
and he was chillin there for a good 20 minutes.
On the freeway and everything. He's a champ.

My comp told me not to touch the stinger after I already did 🙃

Sunday devotional viewzzz.

The view was alright.

District activity on Kent Island!! It was pouring. Who? Is? Surprised?

Conference and Crumbl

Helloooo!

GENERAL CONFERENCE WAS SO GOOD AM I RIGHT??!! And to make it even better, my companion's family sent a projector so we were LIVIN.

This week we also had zone conference and we were able to meet with 2 zones! It was amazing and I learned a ton but most importantly, our Mission President's wife drove to Virginia to get us all boxes of Crumbl cookies!!!

Other highlights

- Remy is still the bomb.

- We are doing English class/ bible study with a cool guy named Miguel.

- We found out our apartment complex has a pool table.

- The leaves are so pretty.

- My sister sent me conference memes.

That's it for this week, but if you haven't had the opportunity to watch General Conference yet, I really encourage you to check it out.  If you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, email me and I'll give ya all the juicy deets :))

If you give a kid a cookie, he'll want to give you a hug

Hellooo!

We went to church this week and I got to meet some of the amazing members of our branch! And to make it even better, I was called on the spot to bear my testimony :) The highlight was probably when we saw our 5 year old friend named Dominic. We stopped by earlier in the week to drop off some cookies and when he saw who we were he ran and hugged us. He did the same thing on Sunday and even though it's definitely not allowed it made my entire day.

One day we were walking around town trying to find a place to get dinner and after about 30 minutes we finally decided on Chipotle. On our way over there, a restaurant security guy called out to us. We started talking and he's a member in the stake south of us and said that he recognized us from far away, not just because of our tags, but because of our spirit. He has 10 kids and loves the gospel and the missionaries. Lorenzo is the coolest!

Now for our guy, Remy! He randomly texted us asking about church so we looked in our records to see who he was. We found out that he had been taught for about 2 years but was stopped being taught multiple times because he wasn't interested. We were able to set up a lesson with him and he is such a cool guy and is SO ready now.

Lastly, we watched a devotional by Pres and Sis Godoy and they mentioned the exact same thought that I had about 3 months ago while reading the scriptures. In Helaman 7, Nephi is a missionary but the people are casting him out, rejecting him, and are super wicked. He is depressed, discouraged and says he wished he could've preached in the days of his father when the people were more accepting and loving. However, he concludes with saying that "these are my days" and continues to endure through the difficult task given to him. This made me think of the pandemic and all the whys. Why now? Why not 10 years later? Why not 10 years earlier? Why did it even have to happen? The fact is that we don't know the whys but we can readjust our focus and trust in a God that DOES know all the whys. The second we accept that "these are our days" we can get to work and trust that we are exactly where we need to be, doing exactly what we need to be doing even if it is different than what we expected, and that's the tea sis.

Love y'all!

 Caught my first crab!

This is where we come to sit and talk about life.

Louie, my king and my everything. Sometimes we run by his house
and he always comes out to greet us it's so cute.

The home boy Lorenzo!! He gave us 1/2 off our meal at some fancy place on the water 💯🙏

We drove 7 mph over the limit (thank you tiwi❤) to make it in time for the sunset.

If you know me you know I LOVE a good sunset.
